In conjunction with the Police Monitoring Committee (Committee P), it also reviews the operations of the Coordination Unit for Threat Analysis (CUTA) and its various supporting services.<\/p>\n<p>The Committee is also the <strong>data protection authority<\/strong> in the field of national security. As such, it ensures compliance with privacy laws and regulations in the processing of personal data carried out in the context of national security.<\/p>\n<p>The Committee also acts as Chair and Secretary for the <strong>Appeal Body<\/strong> for security clearances and advice.
