The Committee responds to requests for advice from the Chamber of Representatives or a competent minister on any bill, royal decree, circular letter or other document expressing the political orientations of a competent minister concerning the operations of the intelligence services and CUTA. If the advice concerns CUTA, this is drafted jointly with Committee P.

The Committee also issues advice within the framework of its special advisory responsibilities as a competent supervisory authority for privacy protection in the context of national security (in accordance with the Act of 30 July 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data).
