THE COMMITTEE
COMPOSITION
Committee R/I is a collegial body made up of three members (a Chair and two members). It is assisted by a Secretary and their administrative staff, as well as the investigation service. All staff hold Top Secret security clearances.
To carry out its investigative duties (in particular in the context of review investigations, but also complaints handling), the Committee relies on its investigation service.
The investigation service can also be entrusted with judicial assignments. On its own initiative or at the request of judicial authorities, it investigates members of the reviewed services who are suspected of having committed a felony or misdemeanour.
The investigation service currently consists of 10 commissioner-auditors who all hold the capacity of judicial police officer, assistant public prosecutor.
